About me

Since it's not possible to arouse everybody's interest, it's kind of hard to judge what could be interesting or what would just bore the hell out of you, my dear reader. In the long run, i've decided according to the relevance of a "portfolio page", to let some hard-facts speak for themselves.

Born in Vienna (Austria), I've always been handling computers since the production of the almighty Commodore Amiga. Needless to say, that I rapidly developed a passion for computer games. My first tries to develop a game (ok, actually it was rather a level than a whole game) started with the release of Duke Nukem 3D. Duke's level editor kept me busy for months, and I kept my friends busy playing my levels.

At the age of 15 I started to make music and after graduating from highschool, I went on tour with my bands. I used to spend more time on the road than at home, but for now, I wont go too deep into the nuts and bolts of that decade of my life - let's just say I've seen the weirdest things and made a lot of friends all over the world.

A few years later I recognized the possibility to create games as a profession, and that was my reason for coming home and studying computer animation.

What is inciting me to learn 3D is the combination of the artistic as well as the technical knowledge you need to acchieve the desired results. I also tried my hands on scripting/programming shortly. Developing simple tools to speed up different workflows became some sort of a hobby for me. I noticed, that when I work on a project, I really love to go into detail and tease out everything that is possible, of course keeping the deadlines in mind.

I'd say that the working on team-based projects for the past 9 years (such as the bands, sports, university projects, ...) really shaped me to an attentive team player.

Currently, I'm enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg and will be graduating with a BA in Computeranimation in 2011.

Please dont hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions regarding my work or myself in person.

Thanks for your time!
